Dr Charlotte Hespe

Background

Associate Professor Charlotte Mary Hespe MBBS (Hons), DCH (Lon), FRACGP, FAICD, GCUT (UNDA) is a GP Clinician/Practice Owner of a “patient centred medical home” general practice in Glebe, where she works with a team of 18 GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 11 Practice supports and allied health.

Charlotte is a GP Supervisor and the practice is fully accredited and functions as a teaching Practice for both Medical students and GP Registrars. Her practice was awarded NSW/ ACT RACGP General Practice of the Year in 2018.

Charlotte also works as Head of General Practice and Primary Care research, The University of Notre Dame Australia. She is currently completing a PhD on the topic of “Translating into real world general practice: Implementation of quality improvement strategies – a study of evidence based practice in cardiovascular disease.”

She is current Faculty Chair for NSW/ACT and Director, Chair Remuneration and Nominations Committee, RACGP Board. Charlotte has extensive experience in corporate governance with FAICD qualification and 19 years’ experience as a Board Chair.
