Therese Dodds

Background

Therese graduated with honours from The University of Newcastle in 2005. She has fifteen years of experience in providing high level Speech Pathology care to adults presenting with communication and swallowing disorders through both the public and private sectors.

She is considered an advanced practitioner in the areas of Voice, Laryngeal Dysfunction, Head and Neck Oncology and other disorders arising from the Ear, Nose and Throat.

During her 5 year tenure at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, she led the establishment of the speech pathology service at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre.

Since 2014, Therese has directed her private practice, Eastern Suburbs Speech Pathology, in providing key services including head and neck radiation oncology care through GenesisCare Darlinghurst, Concord and Hurstville, private consulting, home visits, telehealth, residential care and NDIS services, and a private VFSS service.

Therese is a consultant speech pathologist at The Voice Centre Australia and most recently, has been appointed Director of Speech Pathology, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Allied Health Services Sydney.

With contributions to papers and guidelines, and presentations at National Conferences, she has been a long-time contributor to the speech pathology profession. Therese takes pride in leading her team in the provision of outstanding services across Sydney.
